2022-12-13T08:29:41+00:00 Hi I posted about this before but I found out from my pc tech guy about "Explorer Patcher" is a small registry file {like Take Ownership} that sets the taskbar features back to Windows 10 style/performance. I have been using it since beginning of August on a new Hp Windows 11 Pro with no problems.

2022-08-28T03:50:19+00:00 Unfortunately, I am I on a Windows 11 laptop with that terrible task bar.
1.) I want the taskbar unlock/lock option option.
2.) I want the option to make the icons smaller in the taskbar & quick launch. The icons are just too darn big..
3.) I want the start menu & quick launch back down there in the bottom left corner.
4.) I want each new window to open as a new window with its own tab in the taskbar.
5.) I want the option to turn off grouping so that each window opens separately as a new window with that tab in the task bar.
6.) I want to the option to make the taskbar look like the classic Windows 98/Windows 2000 style taskbar and quick launch.
7.) I want the quick launch folder to returned. Either place it in the Edge folder as it was in I.E. or someplace else, or have the option for us to create it by the user.
I have been using the classic task bar since Windows 95 in 1995..... and on up through Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows 8 and Windows 10 until just the other day, when my 2006 home built computer died. (I believe the south bridge died). I never used Windows 7 or Vista.
I am on a just bought, 2 day old HP laptop right now with Windows 11... and I HATE the taskbar! and whoever heard of a darn computer (laptop) not having a darn ethernet port???? That makes absolutely no sense. When I am at home here, I am not bombarding my brain with WIFI radio waves all day... I use ethernet at home, and with being the backup option when not at home.
I plan on returning this laptop after I replace my motherboard, or after building a new computer with a Win 11 compliant motherboard.
After I return this laptop... I will not be using Windows 11 until the taskbar can be customized BY THE CUSTOMER to look and feel the way I and others want. I'll either just continue using my Classic look Windows 10. I have been using classic taskbar and quick launch for 27 years.. There is no reason for Microsoft to deny that customizable option.. If Microsoft wants to ship Windows 11 to install as it looks, that is fine. But, customizing should be permitted and available.... even if it is the "Classic" look that Microsoft seems to not want us to use.
Hopefully, Microsoft techs will listen and make those much needed taskbar changes..
