2021-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5008215) FAILS to install.

I cannot even install this update and it fails to install every time I attempt downloading this update. I get this error message every time I try to update, "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712).

I have tried everything to resolve it and nothing has worked. I have run SFC, DISM, DSCK, tried to repair my system files, run the windows update trouble shooter and the problem continues to persist.

I had this problem as well. What worked for me was manually deleting the KB5008215 files on my computer.
    Easy to do as well

    1. open file explorer
    2. click on this pc
    3. in the search this pc box at the top right of file explorer put KB5008215 then press enter and wait
    4. my computer showed 3 results and i just deleted them and emptied recycling bin after
    5. restart computer
    6. retry the update

    then everything installed as normal

I also had major problems after installing Windows 11 update KB5008215. First Windows Search capability stopped working. Then the emoji picker didn't work. And I was getting very high CPU usage. DISM and SFC showed errors. So finally I just had to wipe my Beelink GK Mini PC and re-install the factory image back to Windows 10. So guess I'll have to stick with Windows 10 until Windows 11 becomes more stable.
