I went and fully uninstalled GeForce Experience, ran a system cleaner to make sure all registry entries were cleaned up from the uninstall. Re-installed GeForce Experience, screen savor and sleep now working properly.
Who knows. YMMV.

A few weeks ago, I can't remember exactly when it occurred (May have been after installing W11) my screensaver and display sleep functions just completely stopped working. I have tried every trick in the book. I have updated my BIOS and chipset drivers. Powercfg -requests shows an audio stream running from realtek, I tried overriding it but didn't solve anything. I confirmed every power option setting is correctly enabled. Basically I've spent extensive time googling and troubleshooting this to no avail.
The one thing that did fix it was running the DISM restore commands in CMD Prompt, however, it only works temporarily for the initial reboot after running that command, and then it stops working again if I reboot a 2nd time.
What can I do to fix this problem?

The problem I have is that the screen turns black instead of showing the screensaver and not that it doesn't sleep at all
The problem is I can't uncheck the "turn off my screen saver" green tab.....I think that is what is doing it. IT won't "Uncheck". (see attachment), The last one the 6th recommendation in "energy recommendations"....
I also did everything else in this thread including checking that no attached device is set to 'wake' the computer except for my mouse and keyboard.
After a lot of messing around with settings, some of which worked for a sort time, I tried removing my mouse/keyboard USB dongle to see if my PC sleeps. It did !
So I replaced my relatively new Microsoft keyboard and mouse with a Logitech keyboard and mouse, and everything now works as it should.
My Alienware Aurora R16 starting having this issue out of the blue, this week. It ended up being my Valve Index that was keeping it awake. I tried finding it in the Device Manager, to turn off its ability to keep the computer awake, but couldn't get it to work. I guess I'll just keep it unplugged when not in use.
