Over-exposure in screenshots and recordings with HDR in Windows 11

Hello, I am inquiring about an issue I can't seem to solve (without turning HDR off all-together, which defeats the purpose of having it even be an option in Windows 11)

In recordings (primarily using OBS) and in screenshots (with snip and sketch) everything appears extremely over-exposed / bright with HDR enabled. This is a big problem for me as I actually, well, want to use the OS normally. I record lots of clips and take many screenshots and I've finally gotten fed up of it and am now looking for a solution. Any help appreciated, thanks

(snip and sketch has since stopped doing it, however it likes to do it randomly now. commonly happens in fullscreen programs and also my web browser for some reason)

    On a side point, I changed the colour profile in Chrome which seemed to fix the issue when snipping from Chrome (which was my main issue). I've also tested snipping from Word (which obviously a change in Chrome shouldn't impact... ) and that was also fine.

    I went to here: chrome://flags/#force-color-profile

    and changed the colour profile to sRGB (the below screenshot was a snip with HDR on, and as you can see... it's now fine)

    Fix here

    Just open the Snipping Tool > Tree Dot > Settings > Scroll Down > HDR screenshot color corrector (I'm not sure about this translation, as my Windows is not configured for English.)

    Just go to Settings in Snipping tool and enable HDR screenshot color corrector. Done.

    First of all, I checked the relevant information and found that the screen recording software you mentioned does not support HDR screen recording itself, but its deficiencies can be compensated by the settings in the software.     And about screenshots. Because the screenshot function that comes with the system is only a very basic screenshot and cannot use HDR, it is recommended that you use the screenshot function in the Xbox Gamebar (Open with Win + G).
