Windows 11 is keep installing the wrong AMD driver

#1. This does not work. The first opportunity Windows Update gets to install these always broken AMD drivers, it will install them. The only fix is to not allow Windows to update anything at all. Whatever these AMD drivers are that Microsoft insists that we have will result in some games telling you that you do not meet their minimum requirements to run them and AMD Adrenaline from running at all because your drivers are not compatible. If AMDs own software can't run on whatever it is that you are installing, that should tell you everything you need to know.

#2. This only works this time IF you have not already installed the broken driver. The next available version will automatically get installed.

#3. Everyone should have this without need a group policy to protect themselves from this nonsense.

Microsoft needs to worry about Windows and Microsoft's own software and let me worry about AMD and everything else on my computer.

Exactly, no offense to the people of Microsoft replying here, because they're doing their best. But this is just stupid, yesterday I installed the newest AMD drivers of earlier this month, today I can't open AMD Adrenaline because my current drivers aren't compatible. Turns out Microsoft had installed Drivers of 2020 (3 years ago at the time of writing) and the only way to fix it is to tell Windows everytime/-day manually to install the previous version of it.

I have built my desktop as well I have a ryzen 7 3700x eight core cpu and I used to have a rx 5500xt when I built it but I swapped to an rtx 3070 vision. The only thing I have an issue with that is I need faster storage but I just haven't gotten around to upgrading it. My laptop is what was having the driver issue but now I haven't had it since the 10th so it's been like 17 days.

My laptop has the ryzen 7 5700u with integrated graphics.

I've seen automatic Windows Updates not overwrite the drivers (eg when that section claims it checked X mins ago) but then when you manually initiate Windows Update, they are overwritten. Have you tried manually checking for Windows Updates and if so and your drivers aren't being overwritten, which Radeon hardware is this with?

I posted on here that I was going to turn windows update back on, on the 10th of December now I realize I never turned windows update back off and it had not over written my AMD driver. I don't know if there was an update to fix this or what but it is super weird.
