This is a short-term solution until support for Windows 10 runs out. Anyone have a solution that works in Windows 11?
Music suppressed in Zoom on Windows 11
Our church replaced the laptop that is used to host Zoom meetings for our church services. With the new computer, speech comes across fine, but music (organ, singing, etc) is completely suppressed. Group prayers (multiple people speaking at once) are also suppressed. The new computer is an Acer Aspire, with Windows 11. Our old computer ran Windows 10.
When we watch the input bar in the audio settings in Zoom, it drops to nothing when music starts up, which makes me think that the issue is happening before it gets to Zoom
I've read that there is a new feature in Microsoft Teams that suppresses sounds it does not consider to be speech -- I wonder if this is related to our problem somehow?

2023-01-13T19:11:29+00:00 Same problem here. Disabling Noise Suppression in B&O and Audio Processing in Zoom Advanced settings and then restarting the PC seemed to fix it.

2023-01-04T20:21:22+00:00 Hi!
I'll try to help you.
This happens due to the characteristics of the computer's microphone. The best option in this case is to use an external microphone.
All best!
I did buy an external mic, but the same thing happened. It has to be in the Windows 11 software.

2022-12-26T18:08:49+00:00 I attempted to use an external sound card but that did not provide a consistent fix to the problem. It also caused a glitch in the internal voice recorder which I also use. Once Zoom was updated to include "Original Sound for Musicians" setting, the issue was completely resolved. Until that update, killing the B&O app fixed the problem. Initially, I was attempting to go around the array mic/realtech speaker software, but I was not able to totally circumvent those.
