Yeah, the Phone Link desktop app is written in Electron (AFAIK), so technically it's a web page or web app. I think MS has there a bug with css (or other web junk they use, just don't want to bring a lot of technical details). High-contrast theme overrides their css and this makes links clickable. Not sure MS cares about this and really wants to fix this bug. Very annoying.
Works fine on 2 machines (laptop and desktop) with win10. Does not work (URLs not clickable) on a laptop with win11. Both win10 computers have nvidia graphics cards, win11 laptop - intel XE Iris, so might be something like a bug in graphics driver. The only way I could make it working on win11 was switching to high-contrast theme, but I am not a big fan of those themes...
Did not know it worked in high contrast themes on Win 11. That should help narrow down the bug if MS in fact cares about this project. Thanks
Thanks for offering Google messages as an alternate.
However, it only works if you use google messages as your sms messaging app.
If you don't use it, then its not going to work.
Oh, for sure. I'm weary of companies trying to shift blame to the consumers when it should be evident that they have an issue. The correct response would be "some people have found a reset helpful, but this is a known problem and we are working on a fix." I suppose that is too much to ask.
