Memory Integrity cannot be turned ON

In Windows security I got a massage that memory integrity in windows security is off. But I can't turn it on. Every time I try to turn it on but i get a massage that it can't turn on. Please help me to resolve my problem.

Hi,

Here is what typically works for most of the users who know the driver name as it is mentioned in Windows Security. Apparently, Microsoft changed/updated the incompatible driver list recently, which has ended up this issue for most of the users.

Method 1:

You can get the list of drivers by running this command in the elevated command prompt:

dism /online /get-drivers /format:table

After that, Make note of the Published Name (ex: "oem13.inf") of the driver that is shown as problematic.

Then use the pnputil command to delete the driver from the device:

pnputil /delete-driver <Published Name> /uninstall /force

Please note that running this command would remove the device driver and the next time you use the device, it would not work. Reinstalling the driver might help.

Method 2:

Another alternative is using Autoruns to delete the driver. Download it from here:

https://live.sysinternals.com/autoruns.exe

Run it as administrator.

Go to the Driver tab, locate the driver and delete the same.

Windows 11

My core memory will not turn on either. I have tried rebooting;

It allows me to turn on and then grays out so it isn't on, states it is off.

I click review incompatible drivers but it does not show me any

I can't seem to find easy or relevant instructions on next steps since I can't see the drivers

I have the exact same issue as you guys, TSM007 and David, and, after trying basically every fix suggestion I could find, my best guess as to what happened is latest Windows Updates came with a bug, the one TSM mentioned.

I'm not an expert so don't take my word for it, but I have tried uninstalling some of the recent updates I was able to, which did not fix the problem. However, some of then can't be undone. Specifically, there has been an update to Windows Security, "Update for Windows Security platform antimalware platform - KB5007651 (Version 1.0.2303.28002)", which I suspect is where the problem might be coming from. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon so keep an eye for newer updates. If I find a workaround, I'll let you know.

So I seem to have fixed it for the case where no incompatible drivers are found but core isolation memory integrity can't be turned on. I did an in-place repair upgrade of my Win 11 installation (see https://www.elevenforum.com/t/repair-install-windows-11-with-an-in-place-upgrade.418/) and it seems to have sorted out the issue. I can now turn on and off the core isolation memory integrity.

Seems to me MS has once again tripped itself up. My laptop has developed a lag and I am assuming it is because of this one "security" "integrity" feature not being happy, and a strange coincidence.....although I did not receive a Tuesday "update" notification from the system. Has there been a covert update?

Once again the security settings does not show details of which file is "problematic", and following the terminal instructions has displayed a list of 100+ files, revealing that Windows is confusing itself again and telling me I should probably back everything up, make sure I have all my non- Microsoft software installation files and registration info saved, and prepare for a fatal mysterious system crash as has happened to me with every MS Windows OS since 1993.

I mean, are ALL of these files problematic? There are Intel files with a 1968 date!!?? Some have 2022 dates?

Thank you for your help though Sumit, at least I got to do some troubleshooting myself, despite it leading to more confusion....

J’ai aussi un problème avec Sécurité Windows, Accueil, et un message qui indique :

Sécurité des appareils

L’intégrité de la mémoire est désactivée. Votre appareil est peut-être vulnérable.

Quand j’appuie sur le bouton Accéder aux paramètres en dessous, un message indique :

Page non disponible

La page à laquelle vous tentez d’accéder n’a pas de fonctionnalités prises en charge et n’est pas disponible.

En outre dans Sécurité Windows, Sécurité des appareils, un message indique :

Sécurité intégrée à votre appareil.

Sécurité du matériel standard non prise en charge

Votre appareil ne respecte pas les exigences de sécurité du matériel standard. Les appareils disposent d’un matériel intégré différent de celui que Windows utilise pour renforcer la protection.

Après plusieurs réinitialisations complètes d’usine, ces messages disparaissent, mais réapparaissent.

Est-ce que le fait que j’utilise l’antivirus McAfee LiveSafe préinstallé à l’achat de mon nouveau Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 15ALC05 en octobre 2022 pourrait provoquer ce genre de messages d’erreur et problèmes?

Si oui, pourquoi et quelle[s] solution[s] pour les résoudre?
