WIFI 6 (Mediatek MT7921) disconnects randomly

I just finished building a new pc and installed all the appropriate drivers and software. I have a WIFI 6 router which I have had for a while now and never had any issues with and the motherboard I am using is the ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WIFI II AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard. It utilizes the Mediatek MT7921 WIFI card.

The WIFI will randomly disconnect but it says its still connected. Oddly enough I can still load Google and Youtube but nothing else and even then that is intermittent and extremely slow.

Drivers: Ive tried updating, rolling back, deleting and fresh install. no dice

Settings: Ive tried disabling IPV6, Changing from AX to AC to N, etc, Disabled the Bluetooth since its the same adapter. no dice.

Ive even checked to see on another device if my pc is connected to my router while its in this disconnected state and it shows that its connected to my router but it will not connect properly to the internet. I have not had this issue with any other device on my network so I am to conclude that it is most likely to do with this new pc and this Mediatek WIFI Adapter.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

unfortunately, the results remain the same
it worked for a couple of minutes and then disappeared again

i just updated the drivers which you have mentioned successfully
the wifi is working again (for now, hope it continues too)
i'll update if this driver works for my device or not

Goto Microsoft Update Catalog Do a search for 22.30.1.1342 (this version is working for me) (its the most recent for Window 10 at this moment in time.

Download the cab File file

Start > run > appwiz.cpl (as an admin).

uninstall any Mediatek software and reboot.

Start > Devmgmt.msc (as an admin)

scroll down to network adapters expand

Right click MediaTEk WiFi 6 MT72921 Wireless card and select (un-install), (only do this if you have another method of connecting to the internet,

Click Start > Settings > Updates and Security > Windows updates Check for Updates

Additional Updates > Expand drivers and select all Drivers (including the media TEK one.).

If not picked up as part of windows update

Start > Rum > DevMgmt.msc

Expand the missing driver right click properties > Driver > Update driver browse to the cab file you downloaded earlier.

Also do the same thing with the bluetooth driver

Yes, it is a shame that people are having to figure this stuff out on their own. I am glad that you figured out how to install them.. Hopefully, it will keep working!

hi
i did the scan for hardware changes thing after uninstalling
nothing good came out of it, the adapter is still absent in the list
anyway, i'm tired of this i've been trying to find a solution for this for a long time, i did everthing from using the cmd prompt to resetting stuff related to this adapter to resetting the windows nothing has helped and finally when i saw your solution i thought this might end well but anyways
the sad thing is this issue started just 2 weeks or so after my warranty ended (´。＿。｀)
i'll just buy a wifi dongle and hope future updates might fix this issue (which i dont think is happening ever) these companies are making high end devices which cannot do a simple task of connecting to the internet consistently.
