WIFI 6 (Mediatek MT7921) disconnects randomly

I just finished building a new pc and installed all the appropriate drivers and software. I have a WIFI 6 router which I have had for a while now and never had any issues with and the motherboard I am using is the ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WIFI II AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard. It utilizes the Mediatek MT7921 WIFI card.

The WIFI will randomly disconnect but it says its still connected. Oddly enough I can still load Google and Youtube but nothing else and even then that is intermittent and extremely slow.

Drivers: Ive tried updating, rolling back, deleting and fresh install. no dice

Settings: Ive tried disabling IPV6, Changing from AX to AC to N, etc, Disabled the Bluetooth since its the same adapter. no dice.

Ive even checked to see on another device if my pc is connected to my router while its in this disconnected state and it shows that its connected to my router but it will not connect properly to the internet. I have not had this issue with any other device on my network so I am to conclude that it is most likely to do with this new pc and this Mediatek WIFI Adapter.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Goutham,

    Yes, I'm pretty sure that you will not be able to install the driver without uninstalling the previous driver as you stated. I understand the problem that you are describing. It has been a long time since I have had to do this and I don't want to uninstall my previous driver to try to reproduce the problem that you are experiencing. I have not had any issues in a long time and the current driver that I am using is: 3.3.1.508 that was released on 4/10/2022. I don't know if that is the one that I uploaded in the past or not.

    Anyways, if the adapter completely disappears after uninstalling it, then you may want to try clicking on the action menu on the top of the device manager window and then click "scan for hardware changes." In the past, when drivers are uninstalled, the device will usually show up this way... though it may not show up in exactly the same place. If you see any icons that look differently, it may indicate that the device manager recognizes something that isn't installed properly. You can click that and check the description and it might be the network adapter. I cannot say for sure, but it is worth a shot. Hope that helps!

    i have downloaded this zip file and extracted it so that i can update the drivers manually
    but the issue is when i try to update manually it already shows best drivers are already updated
    i saw a previous reply by you to someone else that we should uninstall the adapter if we encounter the above-mentioned issue and i did follow that step, and the results, the adapter completely disappears, and it will only come back after shift + shutdown (multiple) and when it does come back it already has a driver (pre existing) and once again i'm forced to uninstall and thus the loop begins ~_~
    and yes i even checked the box which says "attempt to remove the drivers for this device"
    i'm stuck please help

    Des everyone here have a laptop? I have a desktop with an ASUS TUF B550 Plus motherboard, that mentions the same Mediatek MT7921 card.

    My issue is with regards to extremely bad pings spikes. But they appear to be consistently spaces out, every 10 seconds. Anybody else have this sort of issue?
