Hi,

Whenever an application is using my microphone, all the audio that plays gets suppressed and muffled and nearly quiet, there was an option to disable this before, but I just don't know how to disable it.

Disabling the options such as Audio Enhancements will make it normal for around 2 seconds before it becomes muffled again.

NOTE: I SOLVED THIS EXACT PROBLEM - HERE IS HOW I DID IT

    1. Open Realtek Audio Console (search in Windows)
    • go to "Speakers"
    • TURN OFF "Speakers Noise Cancellation (Voice call)"
    • go to "Headphones"
    • TURN OFF "Speakers Noise Cancellation (Voice call)"
    1. If you have the extension (I did) on Chrome, disable "Disable HTML5 Autoplay"

This totally solved my problem after torturing me for months!

I am experiencing the same issues. I cannot watch YouTube videos or anything that might have a more to it than voice as it is filtered out. This is mind bendingly stupid!

I have the very same problem.. is there any setting to disable this problematic noise cancelation technology.

I realize this is a year after your post. I am very frustrated. My voice can be heard but not my guitar. This happens on Skype and Zoom. I have turned off noise suppression. Still has the problem. Nothing like this happened on Windows 10. Now that I have Windows 11...... It's driving me nuts. Did you find a solution?

    Hi,

My computer sound suddenly back to normal, either one of these, or the combination of both, set it back without me realizing it..

    1. Had a zoom meeting.
    2. Had connected my computer to Logitech Conference System

After ending the zoom meeting and disconnected my computer from the Logitech system, the music (considered as noises before) is back on by built-in speaker. During the zoom meeting, the noise suppression is always on (as it normally happened).

BTW, my system is DELL Alienware X15 r2, Windows 11.

    Thank you.
