Windows 10 import picture's and videos not detecting correct android pictures!!

No. This script works only with the classic import wizard. Also, ensure that you leave a copy of your files in the phone (as said in one of my earlier replies.)

Try this VBScript:

• Copy the following to Notepad, and save the file as "deltemp.vbs"
• Start the Import wizard.
• Then double-click deltemp.vbs to run it.

The script will clean up the acq*tmp.??? files every 5 seconds. This will reduce file name collisions as much as possible.

The script will quit automatically once the Import Wizard is closed.

Will this work with photos app as well ? I am still getting the same messages "the media pool is empty"

The tool doesn't clear old temp files, and that's causing a name collision.

Workaround:

Each time you see the "error occurred... try again" dialog, open a Command Prompt window and type:

• del "%temp%\acq*.tmp.*" /a

Keep the CMD window on standby and rerun the command every time you see the error dialog. This will *significantly* reduce the number of times the error appears.

An even more effective method is to run a script that deletes older tmp.* files in that folder at every 5 sec interval.

How do I make the script that deletes older tmp.* files ? I have disabled windows controlled folder access. When I am getting the error dialog and I run "del "%temp%\acq*.tmp.*" /a" command, I am still getting various types of errors such as this:

I am using a samsung galaxy s8

I am also getting this error when using the photos app. This error has been displayed when using a samsung genuine OEM cable that I bought from the samsung experience store and also I've tried plugging in the USB cable in 6 different USB slots. The Computer I am using is a dell optiplex 9020 small form factor. Still failure.
