Windows 10 import picture's and videos not detecting correct android pictures!!

Photos app doesn't do what windows 10 explorer's import pictures and video does, namely this:

Photos app is missing the original photo import wizard options which to my disappointment didn't transfer over to the new photos app. I have even sent a microsoft feedback regarding this issue. Without preserving folder while transferring files, I do not feel the need nor have interest to use the photos app whatsoever for any photo import/organization. This is why I insist on using the original windows 7 style windows import pictures and videos method.

Hello, the same problem is occurring with a new microsoft user account, I have also tried different USB ports and tried importing to a external hard drive, micro sd card for example E: drive. There seems to be a lot of lag after connecting the galaxy s8 to the PC and windows 10 explorer hangs and freezes then crashes.

"create a folder on the non-system partition and try to transfer again" means that you can create a directory in another partition(such as D:\ drive) and use that as the location to save the pictures, then try to transfer the pictures. Since the location you selected earlier is your Desktop, elevated permissions or other unexpected restrictions may be required.

Meanwhile, you may create a new test account, and switch to the newly created account to see if the function is normal. Because this cannot be ruled out due to the wrong configuration.

1. Select Start> Settings > Accounts > Family & other users. (In some versions of Windows you'll see Other users.)
2. Next to Add other user > Add account > I don't have this person's sign-in information, and on the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
3. Enter a user name, password, or password hint—or choose security questions—and then select Next.

Visit **** Create a local user or administrator account in Windows (microsoft.com) **** for more details.

Note: If the new account is normal, please do not delete the old account before backing up the data of the old account to avoid any data loss.

I found that the destination was set to a folder on the desktop, you can create a folder on the non-system partition and try to transfer again.

Meanwhile, you can transfer files in only one category (mobile phone directory) at one time. Or you can pack and compress these pictures into a file on your mobile phone, and then transfer the compressed file. Because different systems (Android & Windows) have different ways of saving files, Android may have files with the same name (thumbnail files of source files or cache files), but Windows does not support the existence of files with the same name.

By performing a clean boot, this is a mode of disabling third-party services or software, which could help rule out the interference of these elements. Then try to transfer again.

I have transferred files by using import feature before and the same problem has occured. Is there a way to track or have a log of the process windows uses when importing so we can determine what the cause of this problem is ?
