Windows 11 right click explorer menu - Show More as Default

Hello!

I cannot stand the new drop down when I right click on a file. Could you please update windows 11 so we can set the show more option as the default?

Hi Brie,

You can use a small registry hack to revert to the classic context menu if you're not fond of Windows 11's fast context menu.

  1. Open a Command Prompt window.
  2. Type the following command line and press Enter: 
     reg add HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32 /ve /d "" /f

    Nope. It still didn't work even after reboot.

    Do you have to like put a space in the VALUE of the reg ID or?

    It should work as is.

    Are you typing the command (not recommended) or copying and pasting it to the command line (recommended)? As stated, just run Cmd to open a console window. Do not run as Administrator.
