Canon Printer not responding after windows 11 update. Other Windows 10 PC has no problem printing to same printer

Sometime after updating to Win 11 my Canon printer does not respond to my print request. I tried printing from another Windows 10 PC and the printer is still responding to it. So there is no issue with the printer as the message would indicate. What needs to be done to get my printer to print from my windows 11 updated HP PC.

    What do you mean by "reset"? Is this supposed to be "restart"?

    Step 11:

    You may now install any SOFTWARE ONLY packages from Canon. DO NOT INSTALL ANY DRIVERS FOR YOUR PRINTER FROM CANON!

    Dumb question maybe, but how do you differentiate software from drivers. I have a Canon disc which loads and I believe it loads the software and drivers. The Canon website will not let me view their software offerings any longer for some strange reason. I was able to view it on an alternate laptop when my drivers / software needed updating to fix printing issues on an ACER, which I have no problems printing with on Windows 11.

    Could this be some spat between HP and Canon? i.e. HP wanting to cause problems with people using Canon printers as opposed to them not using an entire HP package? Nothing seems illegal anymore and especially when it applies to corporations and governments.

    I had a similar problem when I set up new Windows 11 machine. Printer (Canon G7040 specifically, connected through WiFi, on different network) was constantly offline, could not be made online and I was unable to auto start it (i.e. wake turned off printer with print request). What puzzled me was that I was still able to scan through IJ Scan Utility, even waking up the printer/scanned from sleep to start scanning.

    It worked all as expected on Windows 10 machine. Which was on the same network as Win11 machine, both different from printer network (i.e. PCs were on 10.10.0.0 network while printer resided on 192.168.1.0 network). Since scanning worked, I ruled out routing/infrastructure as a source of the problem. Then I compared port settings on both machines (access it through Printers & scanners -> YOUR_PRINTER -> Printer properties -> Ports tab -> Configure Port) and on Windows 10, printer had "SNMP Status Enabled" unticked (disabled). On Windows 11 it was enabled. So I disabled it and viola - printer now operates as intended.Image

    I do have the same issue for my Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6300S.

    Could you please help meout to find the correct driver for Windows 11?
