Exactly. I feel thoroughly annoyed that the MS representatives don't understand the issue at heart. Doing a BIOS update IS NOT A HARDWARE CHANGE! It's ridiculous.

After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.
Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

2023-10-21T00:16:07+00:00 This worked like a charm. Ms tech that called me went thru all the steps I already had. He found my license purchase but couldn't get it to activate. I will save this for a later use but I fear Ms will disable this to fish for more money.

2023-07-31T20:17:28+00:00 Disabling TCP2 in the BIOS worked. I was able to upgrade the BIOS of my Gigabyte Z790 UD AC to the latest, F6, which only just came out. I reenabled TCP2 after verifying the BIOS had been updated and Windows 11 was still active (see helpful illustration). In theory I shouldn't have to do anything for it to work for the next BIOS update...but Microsoft will most certainly have fixed the issue by then anyway. Right guys? Uh, maybe?

2023-04-18T11:46:51+00:00 I've got the same botherboard and just had exactly the same thing. I've just gone from level 1, 2 and now 3rd MS tech support.
What suprisies me is there is no internal bulitin as none of the three techs I've spoken with are aware of this.
If this was first reported in June 2022 and we're now in mid April 2023.
