Not yet! But I haven't updated FW since this happened to my new desktop. Both laptops have very poor cooling but are extremely reliable.
Windows activation after bios update
After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.
Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

2023-07-18T10:47:19+00:00 Really enjoyed the first few posts that said this was isolated and not a common issue. LOL
This also applies to the 500 series and maybe some other brands. And maybe all systems with a TPM??????
Also enjoyed the posts about invalid software etc and it will expire in one year. LOL
My issue is that I will never be able to change my CPU or MOBO since I was cheated out of my one hardware change. Maybe MS will take care of that or not/TBD!
Another issue is what else is waiting under the covers to bite users with a death bite.
I still recommend not updating your BIOS unless you are having significant issues not related to software.
Another point is to flash your bios during the very first build boot before installing/activating windows. Some BIOSs are not playing well with Windows 11 and need the BIOS update on first contact.
I love MS products and all they have done since 1982. But post COVID has been a rash of development pushed out without checking under the covers in detail on critical basic system needs (like buying a car=engine, brakes, transmission, steering, leaking oil, glass (forget about the radio, pretty wide tires-wheels, loud exhaust, low rider, even AC).
I had to give away my perfect 390 system because all the updates broke security features.
Presently have a MSI 590, 500/600 series Zenbooks, XBOX X and S.

2023-07-10T18:12:15+00:00 So, since it may be a security issue, what if we left the security enhancement off forever?
