After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.

Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

Pretty much one year old issue, known to microsoft. I did a bios flash, the second one on this motherboard but was the first bios flash after license transfer from an old win pro 10 pc. I read of a workaround just too late to test it (disable tpm, login windows, change pin as requested and just after this procedure should be safe to flash bios from now on)

I read many posts of people asking support after this issue, since z690 chipset motherboard. The lack of support from microsoft, as we stated too many times, is unprofessional and embarrassing to say the least, and according to a tech south-african freelancer (Pyburn if you're interested), microsoft find it easier to crack a genuine license that present activation issues than just solve the problem...

Well, you can solve the problem the same way with the same tool, maintaining you're retail version of the license. That's a fact, don't ask :)

It's a 3 minute time fix, instead of waiting 3 weeks for a non-existent support, and it's suspicious that they cancelled phone and live chat support just at the same time this problems arose. Coincidence?

PART 2 so far so GOOD

Flashed the BIOS however once I entered BIOS to set up the defaults, TPM was ENABLED automatically, I disable the TPM and set my usual preferred BIOS settings and reboot to Windows.

This time there was NO PIN CHANGE I just entered Windows without question asked, checked the License status and it says ACTIVE.

So, seems that all this hassle has something to do with TPM?

there is no choice if you purchase a digital license as we did, you have to be logged with microsoft account, at least in the registration prcess. After that you will be free to use local account

    OK here goes nothing.

part 1 disabled TPM , there was PIN change necessary as described, however Windows still show ACTIV STATUS

    BIOS is still there same

now going to UPDATE BIOS while in TPM Disabled mode.
What I suspect TPM will be enabled by default after the UPDATE, however I will disable it, leave it disable until next Win 11 full clean installation and see how it goes.
