MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 (RZ616)

MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 (RZ616) driver keeps crashing and I get an error message this device cannot start. (code 10). This has been happening pretty often and I have even tried a full factory reset. The issue still persists. I have reinstalled the driver multiple times and still face the issue. The temporary fix is to do a power cycle.

Kindly provide a permanent solution if anyone has one. I am using an Asus ROG Stix G17 (2022) and Windows 11.

I have the same problem with my G14(2022). Looking back, I think the problem is that while on Silent mode, the laptop switches off bluetooth. Not sure if it is, but this solution works now for me. I am copying this off another person's reply in respect to a MediaTek card, though not this particular card. But it works:

1. Go to Device Manager
2. Right Click MediaTek Bluetooth Adapter and select Properties
3. Go to Power Management
4. Uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

You should be fine. Will update if it happens again.

Yes, this is correct. Same thing happened with me as well .. though BT was working okay, however wireless wasn’t. I have now removed the drivers which has come with ASUS I.e 3.3.2.542 and now installed another driver from mediatek. Which is working for now .. not sure how long will it last. I will post the version number in my nextpost.

After this weeks windows update I have completely lost wireless and BT. Windwos sees the most recent drivers installed. I luckily have access to a docking station and hard wire connection for right now.
