Xbox App and Microsoft Store prevents game downloands by requiring Visual C++ 2015 UWP Desktop Runtime Package to download first, but Visual C++ 2015 UWP Desktop Runtime Package will not download

Every time that I go to download a game from the xbox app or microsoft store that is over 1GB, the xbox app/microsoft store first tries to download Visual C++ 2015 UWP Desktop Runtime Package first. The issue is that the microsoft store page for Visual C++ 2015 UWP Desktop Runtime Package appears to be bugged, and I cannot download it. I have tried canceling the downloads and downloading just the package by itself and it does not work. I cannot find the page online to download it manually either. How do I download Visual C++ 2015 UWP Desktop Runtime Package manually, or how do I work around needing it to download larger games. This is a new issue, it was not a problem a month ago.

    NOW is working again but i repeat the problem was the store not xbox app as all they say. U must erase and install the store again. After that all working fine.

    Please try these options one by one and check after each option.

    1. Windows Key+R > Type services.msc and press Enter > Locate Background Intelligence transfer and ensure it is set to Start and Automatic. Also do the same for Windows Update service as well
    2. Reset Windows Store through Command Prompt
      Type cmd in Windows Search box > Right click on Command Prompt > Run As Administrator > Type WSreset.exe and click Enter > Reboot your computer
    3. Uninstall & Reinstall Store
      Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage

    Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Reboot your computer

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    1. Re-register All Store apps (You will get many Reds, ignore them)
      Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Restart your computer

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Yep the solution this time is opting out of the insider program. I opted out of the gaming and the hub (ill join back in a month hopefully this doesn't happen again). Then uninstalled both xbox app and gaming services using PowerShell admin then reset. Redownloading xbox app and gaming service. The C++ thing showed up but it seemed to download fully? Maybe could join back now without issues but I'm not gonna test that yet after a whole day messn around with this.

    Xbox PLEASE fix your INSIDER. If this keeps happening yall wont have anymore insiders.

    I think you're on to something here. I was also in the insider program. I opted out of the gaming services preview and resinstalled the xbox app and gaming services and my downloads are working.

    Whenever I try to install a "Microsoft Visual C ++ 2015 UWP Desktop Runtime Package"  game it first installs and then the game doesn't install.  This is clearly a problem with the app because everything worked correctly before.  It is useless for Microsoft or for you to look for a solution.  We have all tried everything to no avail. The problem must be scaled by microsoft.  Otherwise, honestly, I will be happy to stop giving my money to microsoft and to sell my xbox series x.  I really lost my patience and trust that there are many users who don't speak but really can't take it anymore.
