My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

    I followed your instructions and the wake up option was checked under my mouse and keyboard.

    Windows 11 blows...

    Way to go MS!

    I built the computer using the MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI DDR4 motherboard. When none of the suggestions in this thread worked I started poking around in the BIOS as I had seen some advanced power management options while setting up the computer.

    Go to (or try to find an equivalent):

    Settings->Advanced->Wake Up Event Setup->Wake Up Event By: set this option to 'BIOS' (I tried using the 'OS' option, but it didn't seem to work)

    Settings->Advanced->Wake Up Event Setup->Resume By USB Device: set this option to 'Enabled' (This will automatically enable the Settings->Advanced->Power Management Setup->USB Standby Power At S4/S5)

    My MOBO is also MSI but another model, yet this fixed the issue!
    That BIOS section also had options to enable or disable Mouse and Keyboard waking up the system.

    Definitely something MSI should look into and have these options set properly by default.

    I have been having the same problem with a wi-fi connected logitec keyboard and mouse on a brand new Dell desktop.

    I connected an old wired USB connected mouse to the computer and it woke up every time.

    The problem was quite intermittent with the Wi-Fi keyboard.

    I spent quite a few hours with Dell trying to resolve the problem but to no avail.

    I replaced the Logitec with a Dell one. I had one problem initially and then it has settled down.

    I suspect different drivers were installed with the new one which fixed the problem but it is a total guess.
