My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

Usually the reason for the mouse or keyboard not waking up during sleep, is because the UEFI still has control. Check your settings in your UEFI or BIOS in power settings. I believe that one is called "Over-ride Windows Power Settings" or something like that in the EUFI.

I had to laugh (almost) thought maybe they read these things and fix behind the scenes. As of three days ago, mine has not locked up, and my thumbnails mysteriously reappeared on my desktop, and only had one bluescreen shutdown and auto reboot in three days. That's a record. Now I see I have an update that needs to be installed. I'm almost scared to do it.

Sorry, tried it with no success.

If Microsoft employees are monitoring these problems could they please FIX the problem? I am obviously one of many users with this problem.

I have given up. My MS surface laptop 4 with Win 11 bought from MS store has to be the absolute worse piece of junk I have ever seen in a computer. At random it will lock up if display is allowed to sleep and when it does it gets hot and runs the battery down even when plugged in and charging. So I don't allow display to go to sleep. Then it will shutdown and reboot on its own from 2 to 10 times a day which looses any work I am in the middle of and any web sites I have active so I have to log in again on everything. It randomly does not allow my thumbnails to show up on the desktop, showing only icons. Two days ago it just started getting hot to the touch during operation, so I just restarted it and everything was fine and cool running again. It is straight from factory with only two extra programs installed for photography. No third party apps installed or running. It just seems if new problems come up every week or so. I have no confidence that it will be running at all in a few months. My old Windows surface book 2 which is used under exactly same conditions with same programs in use is absolutely flawless still today. And my wife has a new $399 gateway that also operates with same conditions and software with win 11 that never glitches in any way and is flawless also. Never buy a refurbished win 11 laptop from Microsoft,
