I have the security Action badge indicating to me that Windows security Action is required.
I open up by clicking the badge and see the notice that the Local Security Authority Protection is required to be turned on and restart the computer to which I perform those two actions.
After my computer is reloaded the Security Badge still requires me to turn Local Security Authority Protection on, as I have already done.

I have a question and you can answer if you want to.
Have you ever received a phone call with a message going something like this? "We see that a feature in your securities area has been turned off to fix the issue please press 1?" I used #1 as an example.

When you click that badge on your desktop and you are taken to the area of security at a glance and you click Device Security you should see the Core Isolation area and the message stating that the feature is off when actually you see that it is on.
Here is my take on this a Scammer organization has taken advantage of a weakness in an update and are controlling that area to give the message that is seen.
Out of the blue one night, I got a phone call with a message informing that "We noticed that one of your security features has been turned off, to correct this issue press # 1"
I am not sure exactly what the number to press was, however, my question is how did they know if I had or did not have a security feature turned off or on.

Kenneth I am sure that in my case the service was not actually operational and was in fact in an error state. I dismissed that error and rebooted. It came back. It was persistent.
The root cause was that the security update enabled LSA (per fg2001) and for it to run core virtualization (SVM) MUST be enabled in the system BIOS. My system did not have the option turned on and therefore LSA did not operate. In fact, I couldn't even get to the core isolation option to turn it on or off because for that to present on your client you need SVM enabled.
That was the situation with my own client anyway.
My complaint was that MS enabled LSA in this update, it requires SVM, and can put users in the situation I was. With very little to go on for determining root cause.
Are you sure that there is a problem in the first place? Perhaps the False Positive is at play here. Many times, I check the status of my computer and there are no new issues. Virus checks show no issues.
I am not telling anyone what to do as they can do whatever they want to do. Just saying what happened in my case.
I heard remarks on doing something with the BIOS well if a person wants real problems when messing with the BIOS as if one thing goes wrong and the BIOS gets corrupted then one might just as well throw their computer in the junk pile because if a BIOS gets corrupted then the computer has become worthless.
