hi

i have a fresh installed system, with:

motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II

Nvidia 3060 v2

i have a classic 5.1 with 3 connectors, my issue is that only if a game for example cyberpunk 2077 and when i use VLC i can hear that all 5.1 channels are woking fine.

but, everywere else on the system the 5.1 doesn't work, like, firefox, spotify, netflix windows app etc...

i tried to changange some settings but nothing changed, tried to reinstall to, change the drivers but nothing to do.

tried to change setting on the Realtheck Audio Control programm, it's worst the i immagined ... the dB setting, the distance and all whe switches are not working

the only way to change the dB was to change it in the advanced audio proprieties.

My issue is that the surround system is not working with firefox, spotify and onther programs.

I have searched on the web since 1 month, and i'm writing here for desparation, because i can't find a solution for this mistery.

thanks in advice

Pat

It's AI noise cancellation, so you may look for it under ai tweaker. But I doubt it will help even if you find it --- as you are not talking on the mic when you are watching a netflix movie or listening to spotify (so there is nothing to cancel), It may matter if you are talking via discord while playing a game.

Here is Mokichu's take on SS3/DTS (which is the same as me).

    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/drivers-realtek-audio-intel-2xx-3xx-4xx-5xx-6xx-7xx-amd-3xx-4xx-5xx-6xx.11390/page-2

Mokichu's driver is UNOFFICIAL. I don't advise people to install it.

I also disagree with Mokichu's installation method as it leaves no driver rollback option (since his method completely deleted your previous driver from your computer). Microsoft designed the official installation method to give you a rollback option, in case the new driver has bugs so you can rollback to the older driver. His method defeats Microsoft's design.

Here is my driver, you won't find anyone on this planet to have a non-Asus branded (Mokichu unofficial driver is 9514) or non-MSI-branded 9514 driver (from MSI Z490-A Pro motherboard has 9514 driver) today.

    Hi, thanks for reply

under advanced\ CPU Configuration there is no CPU- Power Management Control options and there is no Acustic Noise Setting. i tried to search it but nothing.

In the Advanced\Onboard Device Configuration, the option "HD Audio Controller" is already enabled.

The Legacy USB Support is already Enabled.

What do you mean with "there is also possiblility Audio jacks plugs are not designed for the audio ports on the motherboard too." ?

On my old computer (win10) these 5.1 spears worked fine.

    Thanks :)

I found another setting that directly effects sound output. In addition to the Windows enabled enhancements, the Realtek Audio changes and the SS3 Advanced mode Sonic Studio Effects to On and Basic Mode Sonic Studio Effects.

All the settings changes in the Realtek Audio and SS3 will stick, even the Upmix option. This is on a basic 5.1 speaker system.

On the ASUS site, there are instructions on how to remove and install the drivers. This is in the community forums and the one here for the 670 and 790 boards has quite a bit of info as to sound components. He is also one of the primary ASUS folks that helps set up drivers.
