Microsoft Authenticator is asking me to authenticate using Microsoft Authenticator to use Microsoft Authenticator

So first of all... Why is "microsoft Authenticator" not an option in the "Products" dropdown when choosing where this post should go? I'm just going to choose "Windows"... Sorry not sorry.

Also, I can't take a screenshot on the microsoft Authenticator app without it capturing a black image (thanks,) so here is an extremely low resolution webcam picture of my phone screen.

When I click "Passwords" section on the microsoft authenticator app, I see a button that says "Sign In".

So, I click the button, to sign in. Then, it asks me to authenticate using microsoft authenticator, but I am not signed in, and this is a "sensitive" page, so I have to enter the code displayed into microsoft authenticator, BUT I AM ON MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR ALREADY!!! Who designed this terrible app??? Cheap labor resources then you expect us to prefer microsoft edge over Chrome? LOL

Also, when I search my own question in "Bing", it doesn't come up, even if I type the title word for word. Does it go through some sort of not-mentioned approval process before my post becomes actually visible to the public, or is Bing just extremely bad at updating its search results in a timely manner?

I find MS a time consuming sign in so much so I give up in frustration.

How can we fix this stuffing around. emails sent to my gmail account seem to never get to me .

I am thinking I would be better off without all that MS stands fo

Dear Rob Koch,

Can you answer the original question from asdf? When we are trying to log into a Microsoft App including Microsoft Authenticator the app asks us to verify our account with Microsoft Authenticator. We are not able to log into Microsoft Authenticator because Microsoft Authenticator is asking us to authenticate through Microsoft Authenticator. Looks like we have tried to set up Authenticator but something is not correct.

This explains my issue to a 'T'. Did any of those developers read Catch-22? I'd recommend it to them. Still not got a satisfactory solution to it and it's locked me out for a day, Again :-(

Hi, I get the same error but i can provide more information.

I'm trying to set up teams in my phone using a work account (i had already set it up and it logged me ut, prompting the issue.)
I already have microsoft auth set up for this accoutn on the same phone, but when i log in it asks me to use ANOTHER authenticator in order to log in, but my current auth app is working properly!

I tried removing authenticator from my account, which was successful, but it keeps trying to ask me to use another app to log in.

this only happens when trying to connect teams to MA, and it doesnt give me the option to use my phone's biometrics to bypass the stupid thing.

I need this to work properly on my job :(

I installed edge first and then got a prompt to install company portal. Once I got into edge,I was automatically signed into the other apps. I was logged out since a week. I kept thinking about installing edge but somehow forgot. I just ended up doing that and logged in.

Idk how and why it worked but it did. Weird how a billion dollar company has such stupid issues.
