Windows 11 - Snipping Tool issue with multiple monitors with different Scale Settings

On Windows 11, if you have multiple monitors with different scale settings and resolutions, the snipping tool doesn't work properly. What happens is the smallest monitor's resolution determines what portion of the other monitors can be snipped. For example, I have three monitors on my Surface Laptop 4, the primary is 2496 x 1664 and is set to 150%. The second is 1920 x 1080 and at 100%. Third is 3440 x 1440 at 100%. When I hit print screen, it only greys out a portion of the first and third monitor. And the second isn't even greyed out at all. I've determined that if I put the all the monitors at the same scale, say 100%, the snipping tool works fine. It's only when one of them is different that the snipping tool doesn't work. Also, it doesn't matter if it's three monitors. This happens to me when I have only two monitors connected. I'm just using my current setup as an example.

This has been a problem since Windows 11 was released.

I might have found a quick fix to this issue. I just 'repair' and 'reset' my 'Snipping Tool', and now it can screenshot the entire screen correctly.

Apps>Installed Apps>Snipping Tool

Under Reset, Use the 'Reset" and 'Repair'.

    I somehow fixed the issue by going to the Microsoft store > snipping tool > update
    If the update don't appear for you just open it from Microsoft store then the update should appear and if not then shucks.

    I stumbled upon this problem recently with my second monitor after using the tool without issue for weeks and was very surprised. When I thought about it, the only difference was the position of the second monitor on the desk in relation to my laptop (and the display arrangement settings respectfully). Long story short, when I have the monitor display (2) put to the right of the main laptop display (1), the snippet tool grays out only a portion, when I put it to the left of (1), it works perfectly. The issue remains because physically my monitor is to the right of the laptop now and it would be inconvenient to switch them around due to the given surroundings.

    Hi guys, this issue just arose for me when I switched my displays around from my laptop being on my right side to putting it on my left. When in the other order, meaning in the settings I had my laptop "identified as 1" on the right and my second monitor "identified as 2" on the left, I didn't get this issue. So in testing, even though I changed my layout, I went back into settings to put it back to the original order when it worked and the program worked properly. Although this solution worked for me, I am not sure if it will for everyone else and it still is a shame this hasn't been fixed as of yet since I use this feature religiously.
