Is live.co.uk using POP on a mail host out of order or discontinued.

Yes I solved the issue with the live server myself by researching on the internet and working out that clearing dns cache and registering the dns might help, as I said in my post of October 15 in reply to Don Varnau. What I worked out for myself that I should do seems to be correct fix and my live.co.uk has resumed in my WLM 2012 at present.

The matter of the possibility of installing WLM 2012 on a Windows 10 laptop was suggested by you in response to part of one of my posts. I probably should have started a new thread for this but it was part of this whole topic. I would like to install WLM 2012 on my Windows 10 laptop as you suggest, but don't have confidence that it won't cause a vast amount of issues which I can't resolve, as indicated in the post which both you & Don mentioned (362021-windows 10 update messed up 2012 WLEssentials Live Mail) suggests it might. I would have liked some more advice and reassurance on this. As I said from the start I have a gmail, several btinternet and an AOL as well as the live.co.uk email account and I would want them all in WLM 2012 on my Windows 10 laptop just as I have on my Windows 7 laptop.

I'm not going to be doing anything in the immediate future. I have to get my nerve up; also try & find someone to do the download and installation for me as I would be too nervous myself.

As I said from the start I have a gmail, several btinternet and an AOL as well as the live.co.uk So is this likely to cause the problems reported in the post which both you & Don mentioned (362021-windows 10 update messed up 2012 WLEssentials Live Mail) ? If I'm going to end up with more problems which frighten & stress me then I'd rather just do without WLM and hope this old Windows 7 keeps going and I can use this instead of the newer Windows 10 laptop !

I'll try looking at You Yube. This might help me reduce my uncertainty.

So just to be clear:

I should be able to download WLM 2012 to my other laptop which is Windows 10 (although I'll probably have to pay someone to do it for fear of going wrong). You wouldn't anticipate the kind of problems reported in the post which both you & Don mentioned (362021-windows 10 update messed up 2012 WLEssentials Live Mail). It is somewhat worrying that both of you mentioned this post independently. It does make me very hesitant over risking this. How likely might this be: I wouldn't have the nerve to edit the Registry. Do I only need to download Windows Executable from archive.org wlsetup-all_201802 and not Torrent ?

I know how to export everything from WLM 2012 to my external hard drive and import from that to a new instance of WLM 2012 on a different computer. (This is probably just as well as the Techwalla article confused me so I'll ignore it)
