Windows 11 file explorer is slow and lag. When using the up and down arrows it goes very slow compared to windows 10 which is super fast. It is also slow when opening folders as well as selecting either with the mouse or with shift + arrows.

    How did you do that in Winaero pls?

    I don't remember very well, as it has been for some time. Winaero tweaker in "windows 11," Enable Ribbon "is enabled, but I don't think it should work there.

    What I did and it worked for me was this tutorial: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-the-file-manager-command-bar-in-windows-11

    In this tutorial I made Via a .REG file, and it worked perfectly, then I restarted explorer through the task manager, or restarting the PC.

    • Download this reg file from the tutorial above:

    https://www.thewindowsclub.com/downloads/DEECBW11.zip

    • Once downloaded, extract its contents and double-click on Disable Explorer Command Bar.reg to merge it with your existing registry settings
    • Confirm the UAC warning prompt and click on ‘Ok’ to permit the merge

    Restart your PC to make the change take effect and once it has.

    To re-enable the Command Bar, use the Enable Explorer Command Bar.reg file.

    Does anybody from Microsoft even read this site?

    Windows 11 File Explorer sucks. It sucks. It is horrible.

    Also, this issue has TOO many forums, too many blog posts trying to answer (and the most read shows at the top, or at least the person google approves of, and not necessarily the most recent or correct).

    My System is up to date. Only an idiot would ever apply a fix before it is pushed out to everyone.

    What's more, Microsoft has NOWHERE to post problems, get updates, etc.

    PF11 doesn't work for me - they need to fix this ****. Customers should not settle for this.

    If anyone knows a site where you can actually contact a Microsoft Customer Support person or at least report a problem so they will work on it, let me know.

    f11 solves it.... why arent they fixin it in the latest updates ???

    I found a solution for now, had to switch to old file explorer (windows 10) with Winaero Tweaker application, it works fine.
