Cannot install Windows 11 - Error 0xc1900101

I am trying to install the new Windows 11 update from Windows Update, but I keep getting error 0xc1900101.

The installation starts, and after a couple restarts, it says:

" Attempting to recover installation "

" Undoing changes made to your computer "

And then I am greeted with error 0xc1900101 on Windows Update.

    I have the same issue and the same one SSD with 3 partitions just like yours.

    • Brand new 3 months old EVO laptop.
    • No 3rd Antivirus.
    • All drivers and bios are up to date.
    • Normal clean boot update and ISO + clean boot install are done.
    • TPM 2.0 activated.
    • Meet all requirement.
    • Checked setuperr.log and try to find the problem, no clue.
    • Sent feedback hub 2 months ago, no answer.

    For now, last hope is waiting for full version.

    EVERY time I try to update Windows 11, - new update for Windows 11 came out - while in the "almost end" of the process of restarting, it shows; "Choose your keyboard layout" or something like that. Then after it finishes restarting, I check the update history, and it gives me

    0xc1900101

    Before I rollbacked using Rollback RX Professional, don't know why I did that, at 9/9/2021, THE UPDATE WORKED. I don't know what's happening now, tried everything from YouTube videos, from Command Prompt, to PowerShell and Advanced Restart?!

    Somebody help me. I love updates, but sometimes I think soon Microsoft MIGHT cancel Windows 11, and I wouldn't get the last update ever available before it was canceled. And it might be a correct theory.

    SO SOMEBODY HELP ME.

    (Whoever does is a LIFESAVER. Not saving my life or anything, but you get the point.)

    First off what is Rollback RX? Sounds like a 3rd party utility

    you shouldn't be using.

    If an update fails, Windows rolls back on its own.

    All,

    I reached same error.

    I can install Build 22458.rs_prerelease.210910-1430 but got 0xc1900101 when install 22463.1000.

    Any hint for resolve ?

    PC running AMD Ryzen Pro 4400G, 32GB ram, with Asus TUF Gaming B550-plus mainboard, Samsung 970 EVO ssd

    I have a better idea. Microsoft should execute that patch so the rest of us don’t have to suffer their laziness..

    What patch?

    That article is about troubleshooting the

    problem not a fix.
