Can't update window to window 20h2

as i said can't update window to window 20h2 keep saying (VirtualBox uninstall this app now because it isn't compatible with window 10)

so my installing bar is stuck in 14%, tried to search the virtualbox but can't find it in apps and programs.

Hello,

I had the same problem searching around for days.

The cause was NOT a installed / uninstalled Virtualbox BUT a portable one on the filesystem :-(

In my case i opened C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther{RANDOMSTRING}_APPRAISER_HumanReadable.xml

and search for 'T_ANY_FMC_BlockingApplication" Value="TRUE"'

which found:

<Property Name="LowerCaseLongPathUnexpanded" Value="%programfiles(x86)%\linuxlive usb creator\tools\virtualbox\portable-virtualbox\app64\virtualbox.exe" Ordinal="1" />

Removing this files let me install 20H2.

    when I run the appraiser.bat, i received these message, and the bat can't open the folder of the blocking app.

    anyone can help

    I have the exact same error,

    Tried searching for any files that might be associated with virtual machine in any way and deleted them, uninstalled the android game emulators and I am still getting the same error.

    You can also download run this batch file to automatically perform the steps above: https://aka.ms/AppRPS (You should be prompted to download a zip file named AppRPS.zip) "RAN THIS FILE ON MY SYSTEM AND DELETED ALL THE FILES IT SHOWED THAT MIGHT BE associated to VM. NO CHANGE IN RESULT"

    I understand that you’re being asked to uninstall VirtualBox when trying to upgrade to Windows 10 20H2 on your PC, and I certainly appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

    We will certainly look into this for you.

    Ideally, if the installation/upgrade is blocked by an app even though it’s not installed on the PC, it is likely that the compatibility checker is detecting a file that is associated with the app. In this case, we will need to delete the file to continue the installation.

    Since you’ve already cleaned the registry, I would suggest you to refer the suggestions by Edison Pusreplied on February 9, 2018 from the thread Windows 10 upgrade can’t complete due to error: “Some apps need to be uninstalled.”

    found it here:

    c:\program files\dnplayerext2\virtualbox.exe

    deleted:

    virtualbox.exe

    fixed! :)

    This worked for me. AND for some stupid reason, when i searched my C: for virtualbox it didnt find anything .... **** ??
    what i tried before this was
    I have Bluestack and LDplayer installed.

    I uninstall it and the update still didnt work.

    Using appraiser.bat thing that also not work.

    Using BCUninstaller to find hidden leftover files of bluestack/ldplayer/virtualbox did not work
