Task manager on my windows desktop says that efficiency mode is active for several but not all sub-processes of google chrome and I believe that is the reason for the drop in performance. I am able to disable efficiency mode for each individual sub-process, but *it returns a few minutes later. I cannot permanently disable it.*Simple actions such as changing a tab or moving the window causes it to freeze for several minutes. I have no recent or current updates to install. Everything is up to date.- There are no other demanding processes / apps running on my pc- I have tried altering Chrome's performance and memory settings. Nothing changed.- This problem is the same with Edge and some other applications.- Efficiency mode is greyed out for the entire application. Only certain sub-processes of chrome are in efficiency mode. The only difference between yesterday and today, is that efficiency mode is active non-stop. I do not want efficiency mode running at all for google chrome as it is the main browser I use for work and school.

most people cant turn off efficiency mode because of the small ( " ), dont use " after \chrome.exe example: C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess this is wrong because it has the " after chrome.exe and you have to make space between \chrome.exe and --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess so this is the working one ive been making: C:\Users\Asus\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess this does work because it has the space between \chrome.exe and it has no " after \chrome.exe feels free to copy it, if this still doesnt work you can tag me
