I just got Game Pass a few days ago and haven't been able to play it once because every single time I hit on Install a screen telling me to Download Gaming Services keeps popping up even though I've already installed it numerous times. I'm turning to this because I have no idea what to do, I've already tried a bunch of different suggestions from people such as: Repairing and Reseting all the apps, I've tried to uninstall and install with Powershell, I've tried to update through the windows store, I've updated everything on Windows, I tried going into the registry and I deleted the GamingServices and GamingServices.net but Nothing works at all, I've completely given up on this, I feel scammed because I just got Game Pass and I haven't been to play a single game.
One weird thing I noticed and I don't know if this is normal is that when I go over to my account settings on the Xbox App on the segment where it says "GameInstall Options" I get some weird error that says "There was a problem loading installation locations. Try Again" But it never gives me that chance to change anything.

2023-04-20T06:28:16+00:00 Hey guys, if you've tried all the other stuff, like using your admin-shell, reset/repairing, OS scans, and the like, but it still wont work, I might be able to help you. So, I've got three drives. My C with Windows, plus a D and an E. At one time, I had an XboxGames folder on each drive. I was trying to "install" No Man's Sky to drive E, where I already had the files. If I attempted to open the app from my start menu, it would send me to the Gaming Services' Awful Review. If I attempted to go through the Xbox App, after telling it where the files were, it would give me various hash-error codes and fail to even "install" to where I KNEW the files were. The most frustrating of which is where it told me there wasn't enough space even though I knew for sure there was. I slept on the issue, thinking about how I had changed the default install location to the correct drive and still had no dice. Then I remembered that it's not unusual for apps to fool with your C drive regardless of your specifications. So I checked in my C drive, looking for the Xbox Games folder. I opened it only to find a file with an obfuscated data name (Usually temp download files are like that.), along with a ~300Kb folder titled "No Man's Sky". I'm not sure whether it was the temp download file or the fumbled folder, but I deleted both. Lo and behold, everything works as it's supposed to now, start menu is fine and no Gaming Services, Xbox App finds the files instantly, no more errors anywhere.
TL;DR
Try checking for a file named like "7A7853F9-B5FA-42F3-B02E-D57BEACF4293" in your C drive's XboxGames folder, and delete it. May also delete any files within that folder that are not the size they should be.Good luck guys, if this helps you, spread the word.

2023-03-16T15:42:18+00:00 This worked for me, thank you very much. Also noticed that the xbox app is kinda buggy in general, opening stuff in the xbox app, openning the app itself... takes ages, somtimes it doesn't even register.
UPDATE:
It did not work for long, an hour or two maybe and sometimes I can download but the downloads are borked. Also tried a fresh install of win 11, but kept the apps and files. Unfortunetly with no luck. Tired of this, so im gonna install halo infinite from steam now, but I don't know what to do with FH5 beacuse I own it on xbox not steam.

My main issue seems to be that Xbox game services wont start, doesnt matter if i uninstall the thing, it's just off. I can see it in services.msc. Apparently the only fix is to clean install windows, fortunately there's an option to keep my files.
