Windows 11 network shows "connected no internet access" but I am online, can connect to most websites, but some win apps think I'm offline and do not work

Doing this for 2 years now, unplug and plug the cable back in. Windows 11 is a disaster. I might wrong, but the issue did not exist on Windows 10. That trick only works when booting initially and the screen is stuck waiting for an Internet connection, but does not solve the No internet connection on Windows and other MS apps like Outlook not working. Only a full reboot solves this for a day or two until it comes back.

It's almost 2 years since I have the issue as well, and I don't expect Microsoft to fix it at this point.

It seems related to a Microsoft account log in or server check that fails or just can't connect to MS servers and then flags the entire operating systems as not having an Internet connection. Which is of course false and not true, like others reported here, Internet works fine.

Like others mentioned, Outlook.com emails don't work in Outlook, but email accounts from non Microsoft servers work fine. Microsoft Store complaints there is No internet, so does any other Office 365. Tray icon and control panel says no internet either. The Internet works fine. Rebooting the system works for a while until it happens again.

I found this solution on another website and it worked like a charm for me:

Open the registry editor (Windows key + R) and type in regedit.

Got to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet

Click on "Internet" to open it. Find "EnableActiveProbing", double click it and change the Dword value from 0 to 1. Reboot and everything should work as expected.

If the Dvord is already set to 1, set it to 0 and reboot.

I have the same Issue, and it's driving me crazy, as well as the other people in the company. We all are on a VPN (Cisco Anyconnect)

Our Network is doing fine, and the issue appears with wifi and lan. It's not computer related, as the same behavior can be observed on Dell, HP and Lenovo Laptops, either with direct connection to the cable, or via docking station.

The issue is, that some apps recognize the internet connection, while others don't. for example coroprate onedrive works, private onedrive doesn't, and others.

The quick fix for me is: connect to vpn, wait till the icon shows offline, unplug lan cable from dock, and plug it in again immediately. the vpn connects again, and then Windows recognizes the connection and shows the correct lan icon as online.

the issue is clearly Windows - it cannot handle the network switch correctly.

Fix this please - forcing a company with 5000 employees worldwide, to unplug their cable every morning is ridiculous.

The following worked for me. After stopping and starting, I did not have to reboot, all worked fine immediately:

• Open Services (Press Windows key + R then type in services.msc then click OK)

-Look for WLAN Autoconfig and WWAN Autoconfig> Right-Click Properties and set it to automatic (If it's already set to automatic, right-click then click stop then start it again)
