hi, i read a lot and update bios, latest drivers, windows update, check chkdsk, reinstalle driver, reinstalle my Os but this error never stop when i play on great graphic game. nothing on league of legends or bad graphic but on new game, it's impossible ... \Device\Video3

    To the glorious people on here coming up with the nonsense turning on "debug mode" inside Nvidia control panel """solves"" the issue btw here is WHY:

    "DEBUG lowers the factory OC to REFERENCE levels and this also lowers the draw on the PSU. DEBUG tells you something is unstable." Which is the same as lowering the power profile.

    HUH. Weird. Hmmmm. How strange.

    Same as turning off hardware accelerated GPU scheduling, which lowers the chance it happens under unstable power conditions, because it is a more hardware level access where critical timings are relevant. Tiny little lag in timings because of non stable voltages will cause the issue to happen more frequently. In the end, your PC is unstable because of voltage drops, either main board, GPU, or PSU issue.

    Thanks to mkxy,

    your advice to lower power with msi Afteterburner to 80% fixed the issue in my case.

    It's a very clever way to solve the problem with undervoltage :)

    Now I can enjoy the games with my 1080 ti

    I have also same error with Diablo 4 and Baldurs Gate 3 screen go black and GPU fans run at full speed, 1070ti, win10. It started two weeks ago It's totally random. Sometimes it happen after two hours and sometimes when I start game. I tried many different advice nothing helps me.

    Same issue here, i tried to copy that file from nvidia folder and paste it on windows 11 drivers folder and i got the same error in events visor, i cant play any AAA o heavy game because this error crashes the game =( I think this problem is from Nvidia so I hope they fix it on the next nvidia driver update.

    Hi adrien Dex,

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    You should completely remove the current Nvidia device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturer's website to download and install their recommended version of the Nvidia device driver.

    A slightly older version of that driver is more stable than the latest version.
