Virtual Network Adapter

My Windows 11 laptop will no longer connect to Wi-Fi. It says "You're connected using a virtual network adapter that we can't test." I have restarted my laptop and rebooted the modem, neither worked. Any help on what to do next?

    Hi so i had the same issue and turning off fast boot seemed to fix my problem could you please explain why this would be and what fast boot does as after i restarted computer it seemed to be exactly same startup time

    Plug in to ethernet port with a usb-connector or docking station, and download the network driver not working properly. Once downloaded restart the laptop, unplug the ethernet, and connect to wifi. Then run a system update if other drivers need updating.
