Failed Install 2023-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030310)

Why does Windows update 2023-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030310) fail to install when it's not for my co-workers? All other updates are downloaded and installed with no problem. I believe this is the Pre-CoPilot update that I have been waiting for. Install error Install error - 0x80070002.

    Hi, I'm having the same issue. I was running the system file checker and got an error message.

    C:\Windows\System32>dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

    Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool

    Version: 10.0.22621.1

    Image Version: 10.0.22621.1928

    [===========================79.0%============= ]

    Error: 3

    The system cannot find the path specified.

    The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

    How can I fix this? Thanks.

    Error Code 0x800f081f means CBS_E_SOURCE_MISSING.

    Perform a repair installation known as In-place Upgrade to fix the problem.

    Make sure you always back up your data when performing a repair installation.

    Because even an in-place upgrade can go wrong in the worst case scenario.

    You should also temporarily uninstall third-party antivirus programs beforehand and also use the removal tool if the manufacturer provides one.
