Can Hearing aids that are Bluetooth capable be used on a Windows 11 laptop?

I just got a new laptop that has Windows 11 as its OS. It has Bluetooth settings, but when I check it, I don't see any way to pair my hearing aids to it.

They sync to my iPhone and iPad.

Is there a way to add them so I can use them when I'm using the computer so I don't disturb others in the room?

    Only the very very very latest and very expensive hearing aids have true bluetooth.

    The only reason why iphones and android phones can pair directly to hearing aids is that cell phones use public airwaves and the US government (the FCC) requires all cell phones to be compatible with hearing aids.

    You will notice that apple computers don't work with "made for iphone" hearing aids. No apple computers are listed.

    You usually have to buy a ``tv streamer` from your hearing aids manufacturer. Ask your audiologist for more information.

    Well, it's not just me... that's comforting to know that it's Bill Gates' fault, once again. Mine works great with my iPhone, so, silly me...I figured Bluetooth would be a quick connect to the laptop and Windows 11. Oh, well. Thanks for the reply. Good luck with yours!

    Hello ! I'm Aymeric, and I'm here to help !

    You can use Bluetooth hearing aids on your computer, as long as your PC is Bluetooth (which is the case!)

    Just head to Windows Settings > Bluetooth and devices and click on the "Add device" button. Select the "Bluetooth" option and wait for your device to appear.

    Make sure your audio device is in pairing mode, so it will appear on your screen.

    When you see it, click on it : the pairing will be done.

    Hi, I have Signia Hearing aids & contacted their Tech support dept. I was told the NONE I repeat absolutely NONE of the companies that manufacture Hearing aids want to or intend to get off their Asses to write Blue Tooth definitions for Window, Apple, or Linux computers & that there are no hearing aid blue tooth definitions that properly define hearing aids as Audio devices!! Supposedly Windows 11 is going to support Blue Tooth Hearing Aids in the future by either writing their own BT definitions as audio devices or change windows enough to use the same definitions as the phones. We will have to wait & see.
