Windows Update ERROR

Greetings

Last night i updated windows 11 and i got an error,

Windows Intelligence Update

Install Error 0x80070057

I am unable to complete the update no matter what, i have tried restarting the PC as well but no good.

    Greetings

    Thank you for helping out on my issue, nothing worked for me and i finally was sick of the error and then last night after updating windows again, there was another update that wouldn't install, i simply gave in and decided to reset the PC and redo windows again, this time without the insider program. Too much grief with it, just couldn't handle it, this time the updates have been too buggy for some reason.

    Same problem. None of these solutions worked. Anyone got something that will work?

    Same problem on Windows 11. Solution does not help.

    This resolved the issue:

    Open Command Prompt as an administrator.

    Type the following commands one by one, pressing Enter after each one:

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop cryptSvc

    net stop bits

    net stop msiserver

    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old

    net start wuauserv

    net start cryptSvc

    net start bits

    net start msiserver

    Once done, close the Command Prompt and try updating again.

    I already tried that. Sadly that didn't fix it for me.

    Is it the KB2267602 (Version 1.393.2270.0) update causing this issue?
    Do check the update history under the definition update section if the same update has already been installed which might be causing this error.

    Hi, I have the exact same issue. I followed the steps above and that didn't fix the update error.

    I've checked the definition update section and KB2267602 (Version 1.393.2270.0) is not on the list.

    I don't know if this is helpful, but there are 4 newer versions installed: 1.393.2343.0, 1.393.2349.0, 1.393.2359.0 and 1.393.2424.0.
