I had a call with Level 3 this morning, I passed all this information on to them to review with engineering. I have another call scheduled for tomorrow. Thanks for the info. He wanted to turn the Service I have disabled back on, I said NO, I'm working fine.
Clipboard problems (can not copy/paste) in Windows 11
Clipboard stops to working in random time during the working day. Can't copy/paste, clipboard manager is empty. No any special actions done before this: it just stops to work in regular routine. I just have to restart Windows and hope to work for a next few hours.
It's make me crazy to restart my computer few times a day. I have complicated environment with VM's, Docker, IDE, SSH Terminals and should restart it JUST BECAUSE SUDDENLY I HAVE NO CLIPBOARD.
HOW IT'S EVEN POSSIBLE TO BREAK THE CLIPBOARD??? I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT JOKE
Windows 11 is broken! Please fix it!
I know here a lot of people with same issue. Please comment: let's make this problem visible to MS.
Please no generic advises about restart explorer, dism/sfc, troubleshooting and reinstalling my OS.
All of this was tried many times and doesn't solve this deep Windows bug.
My system information:
Windows 11 22H2 (x64), build 22621.2715, all the updates installed (Nov 2023)
Ryzen 7 5800H, 32 Gb RAM

UPDATES:
SOLUTION #1 (JUNE 2024): confirmed and tested
As I noticed before, clipboard issue was always after my computer was left for some time switched on. During this my screensaver was shown and SOME BACKGROUND TASKS performed. This caused the issue 100% of time! I was trying to find and disable background tasks - but it doesn't help.
So, here's my solution: don't let PC to get idle. I've installed Caffeinated utility and keep my PC always awake, even when I'm go out for a few hours or night. AND IT WORKS! For 1 month already no more Clipboard Problem, no any restart! So I recommend to try this method.
SOLUTION #2 (doubtful: works for some)
Discovered by Glen Decker, instructions by Kim-LarryPapp
I hope it can help shine a light. You can follow the steps below. Some things to note, I've placed keystrokes in square brackets to indicate the keyboard touches, and the 'WIN' key refers to the Windows Key on the keyboard. (e.g. [ctrl+alt+del])
- [Win + R] to open the Run Window
- [services.msc] => [enter]
- Click the 'Name' column heading to be sure the items are listed in alphabetical, A to Z.
- Scroll down to find the item listed 'Connected Devices Platform Service' (Служба платформы подключенных устройств)
- Double-Click the item to open the properties window.
- Change the 'Start-up Type' in the drop-down to 'Disabled'. Mine was set to 'Automatic (Delayed)'.
- Reboot
UPDATE FROM SEPTEMBER 2024:
From the moment I discovered solution #1 I have no issues with clipboard at all - for 3 months in a row!
Just using Caffeinated utility or PowerToys Awake - yes, not fix, but stable workaround. At least I can do my job while Microsoft ignores this issue.

2024-07-10T08:42:05+00:00 Here are the crashes from earlier that happened in the MMC when i copied the error text. This part of the second report definitely shows what i was doing
" at System.Windows.Forms.Clipboard.ThrowIfFailed(Int32 hr)
at System.Windows.Forms.Clipboard.SetDataObject(Object data, Boolean copy, Int32 retryTimes, Int32 retryDelay)
at Microsoft.Windows.ManagementUI.CombinedControls.EventDetailControl.ExecuteCopyDetailsAsTextAction()"
I hope they can fix this.

2024-07-10T08:28:26+00:00 It isn't working.
i rebooted yesterday, everything worked fine, came in this morning.
copy and paste does not work.
now is my chance to check the logs!
the error from last night is
(i forgot copy and paste was broken and when i copied the error it caused event viewer to crash the MMC!)
However i do now have some excellent error information which might be some use to MS.
my error overnight was
"The program ShellExperienceHost.exe version 10.0.22621.3672 stopped interacting with windows and was closed". This is the ONLY error last night so i must have found what is causing it!
i checked the previous days and this error does not happen again.
I do get other errors
SystemSettingsBroker likes to error with the DLL ucrtbase.dll quite often.
The most annoying things about eventviewer is that if i sort by LEVEL it sorts by level and date is sorted by random. useless.
So right now i have nothing that reoccurs and nothing pointing me in the direction of where to look as windows isn't logging anything useful.

2024-07-09T21:20:41+00:00 I'm guessing in a windows update that they will just code the "Connected Devices Platform" task as disabled and roll it out.
My first ticket was in January and started with Level 1 in a CHAT session. I explained it was a new P/C and had issues to avoid any hourly service charges. They accepted the fact they had an issue and then the fun began. I ended up opening 4-5 tickets in January because after each session when they logged on and took control of my P/C they would say it's fixed and close the ticket. Not knowing I had IT experience and supervised a helpdesk I then began to push the issue. They then passed me on to level 2 where I worked with them for two weeks doing windows rebuilds and reloading Office products. Level 2 finally gave up and passed me on to level 3, Microsoft highest level of support, that was early March. Now I finally have a support person on the same level as me, we kind of bonded, he trusted me, and I trusted him. I did everything he requested, rebuilds, reformat hard drive, contacted Dell, and recorded a video showing my keyboard strokes using PowerPoint. Losing faith in Microsoft I took my P/C to a computer repair shop and paid $135 to have them look at it, they again did a complete reformat of the hard drive and reload of Windows 11 and let it sit over the weekend, they said it was fixed and it failed again.
I then saw your fix, applied it, and BINGO, it's fixed. There is an APP called Feedback Hub where you can submit a problem, not sure if they would respond, but you can try it. Just click the Windows Start ICON and enter Feedback Hub in the search bar.
In the beginning Microsoft was going to charge per support session, I had to push their product was broke and sent them the link to this Forum.
Good Luck and keep in touch.
