Clipboard problems (can not copy/paste) in Windows 11

I've had my clipboard history turned off for weeks and reboot every day at 5am using the task scheduler. If I turn off the task scheduler and don't re-boot the copy and paste function will fail at about 26-27 hours after a re-boot. I have turned over tons of data to MicroSoft level 3 and the engineers and continue to receive weekly updates from the level 3 tech that I'm working with. I did send them links to this forum and submitted information to their "Feedback Hub" which they monitor. I suggest others do the same, the Feedback Hub allows you to record a video of your problem so they can review at the lab. From the start icon, search Feedback Hub, select report a problem then follow the screens.

Agreed. I reasoned it out as it being much less useful than having to reboot every two hours, which was the case before the disable.

Since, about three days now, I haven't had to reboot yet.

Now, the task bar disappearing... different story entirely. The only way to fix it for me is to disable my external video cards (e.g. NVIDIA) and then reboot. Once rebooted, I can reorganize my windows (only needed on the first after upgrade) because graphic settings, task bar, etc., comes back.

Once fixed, device settings and re-enable the external drivers so the other monitors come back. You immediately lose graphic settings, but at least I have the Windows key. Without it, the system is completely useless.

I agree with the OP. Windows 11 seems to be a mess of issues if you upgrade. If you have the option, buy it installed.

After installing, at least for me, not only did my clipboard decide it was useless, but so did my Windows key, my graphic display settings, and my task bar... I could only run programs from the Task Manager.

It seems they're two different issues! After fixing the above, my clipboard would still fail after a little use and it would subsequently break the windows explorer address bar.

To fix it, I just turned off the new features for the clipboard. As a developer, I know that most bugs come from features that were added and not tested well. After realizing they were different issues, I asked myself, what else did they 'help' with; it was the Windows Clipboard History.

They're trying to save all the info that you have copied for easy access, but didn't consider complex OLE object storage, at least that's what it seems. The storage of simple notepad text is fine, but as time goes, the history fills, and we copy more complex info (e.g. pictures, excel data, ms access table data, files, etc.), the history function fails and the clip can't restart.

To fix it, rather, remove the error, simply turn off the Windows Clip History (System > Clipboard > Turn Off Clipboard History (then reboot)).

I have 3 pcs, 1 DT & 2 LTs, on windows 10. Never have problem,. Not so with my windows 11 DT. Finally installed a restart app on task bar since when cut/paste pblm **** my power options also become inoperable. Then had to manual shutdown, which is very difficult on my DT. At least the restart app shuts down all open pgms first. I set it for 5 sec after click, so just a really anoying issue that has been around for several years on windows 11. Again never have this problem with windows 10 OS on my other computers.
