All USB devices Disconnect randomly on Windows 11.

All of my USB devices randomly disconnect and will sometimes reconnect on their own in 10-20 seconds. Other times when they do not reconnect I have to completely restart the PC to get devices back working. I have tried uninstalling drivers for the USB roothubs and devices with no luck of a fix. I have not seen this issue addressed elsewhere or corrected. Other instances have not been similar to mine and this issue was non existent before upgrading to Win11. I even did a repair install of Win11 with no luck either. Any help or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

As a quick update here, today I noticed the dreaded drain on my system resources once again, the culprit being Microsoft Edge! Despite being disabled from the Startup Apps in Settings last week, it somehow re-enabled itself! This drain on resources feels more like a virus but fear not.., the following article has a permanent solution to prevent Edge adding itself back at Startup.

Microsoft edge starts running in the backround and it kills my computer !!!

That's interesting, though to be clear, I think this might have been fixed on the quiet by Microsoft with their recent updates, there's been several lately.

As I said previously, although I did suffer from these regular disconnects when using data devices, my recent tests of all USB sockets on my PC, both front & back, revealed that the problems had gone away and only one USB socket on my front mounted hub was faulty! Ironically, although producing the exact same disconnect symptoms, it had nothing to do with the issue mentioned in this thread, it was merely a coincidence, call it a red herring if you will.

Shortly after that, I discovered that whilst using the one remaining 'good' USB socket in my front hub, that I wasn't able to permanently delete files from my USB thumb drive. Pressing DELETE or 'SHIFT-DELETE' did nothing. I then discovered that stopping Edge from running in the background in Task Manager once again allowed me to delete my files. I have since disabled Edge from Startup as a precautionary measure.

If as you say; "Yep, can confirm: I've used a different browser all day and haven't had the issue once" This could be just coincidence too, either that, or I got lucky and Edge is the culprit.

Yep, can confirm: I've used a different browser all day and haven't had the issue once, before when I was using Microsoft Edge and had it set to start when I turned on my PC it was happening multiple times a day.
