Hi

I write this in english, to enlarge the potential community.

Windows Update, I get error 0x80070002 when the systems tries to install Windows 11 Version 22H2.

This problem is going on for a long time now.

I tried everything I can found on the internet.

  • setting the time, all good,
  • Deleting the SoftwareDistribution directory,
  • Running scan, and DSIM, all good no errors,
  • Windows update troubleshooter, tells me:

Check for Windows Update issues Detected:

In troubleshooting report it says:

  • check for widows update issues // Resolve Windows Update issue Completed

Glad it's resolved, albeit it took around 10 attempts :)

You may re-enable the startup items and services. Backup the current set of drivers using DISM, to a folder named c:\drivers_final_2023.

If Device Manager doesn't show any items with the yellow exclamation mark, then no need to install any more drivers.

For the Windows Security issue, please start a new thread and share the link to the new thread here. Will reply to that.

    The setup failed because of the same error -- missing file in the iclsclient package.

    I found the full iCls client driver package from the Microsoft site.

    First, backup the folder "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iclsclient.inf_amd64_75ffca5eec865b4b" and then do the following:

    • Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro of Sysnative forums) and save this to your Desktop.
    • Download the file, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
    • On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
    • Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.  [See illustration image]
    • SFCFix will now process the script.
    • Upload the output file SFCFix.txt to your OneDrive.

    Not sure what I can do with your previous note, on the other Lenovo Errors.

    I checked where the iclsclient could be found, and it is in the MEI drivers, I installed the MEI Drivers.

    I noticed that sometimes the first time I start the setup of the ISO for install, it will not start the install, if I retry it will.

    The error is still referring to drivers, however not sure what is now the problem. I think you look into the setuperr file in the Panther dir?

    The error I got now is about something else

    I am just adding this in case it might help. I have not seen such errors in a log before. The first line is normal, the one below it, Lenovo seems to be a problem. These types of errors go on for a while.
