Windows Spotlight suddenly decided to use Thai language instead of my system setting (US English). How to fix this?

None of these fixes work!

I've changed all the region settings, and even deleted any other language on the system... but Windows Spotlight (that starting picture screen before log in screen where it shows random pictures from around the world) is always in a different language.

This has only started occuring relatively recently, and its very annoying!

If MS can't fix the issue, please tell us how to disable Windows Spotlight entirely. It's very disconcerting that other languages are being displayed on my log in screen.

Give me a register edit to disable Windows Spotlight entirely.

It's baaaaack... but now in Swedish (I think, or some other Scandinavian language) with a picture from Indonesia.

Windows spotlight today shows a different picture and all is back to English. Maybe this was just an issue of a specific spotlight page?

Hi, have the same issue, and my first thought was - virus/malware.
But apparently it is not the case.
I'm located in Poland, Windows is in English, and only Polish LP added.

Based on your descriptions, it seems that the system accounts used for displaying the Windows Spotlight screen is using Thai.

To check so, please press Windows+R, enter "intl.cpl", go to the "Administrative" tab, and check whether "Welcome screen" is in English. If not, check the "Welcome screen and system accounts" checkbox below, confirm and reboot. Check whether the Windows Spotlight screen is still using Thai.
