How to fix Search bar not working after Windows 11 23H2 update

Same issue, updated recently to 23H2 and now I cannot type in the Search box in the start menu or task bar.
Have tried restarting Windows Search, running the ctfmon program, changing menu alignment, etc. Nothing has fixed this.

Real pain and wasting a LOT of time now trying to find things in the meu where I could normally just type...

Update: I found a post with this info that seems to have fixed it for me, finally!

Method 1. Repair built-in apps such as the Search bar, Start menu, and Settings:
Open Powershell with Admin or CMD with Admin (Press Windows key + X then click Windows Powershell(Admin))
Copy the line of command to Powershell then press enter:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Then hit Enter, once the process is done, restart the PC and check.

Method 1.

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type or copy and paste the path below. Press Enter.

Method 2.

Make sure Windows Search services is available and running.

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: services.msc

Press Enter to open Services app

Double-click Windows Search.

If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK. If the status is Running, right click then select Restart

**Please try to run SFC and DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files.

After that, restart your computer

Do yourself a favor and go to Windows Update and choose to Revert to Windows 11 22H2 and your Search Bar will be back!

Let Microsoft figure it out rather than try a laundry list to try and repair it yourself. I'll wait for the next update...

Not working for me, after 23h2 enable to write in windows 11 search taskbar

It is not working for me also . Will this be addressed by Microsoft or we have to live with it .
