It's the end of September 2024 and I am looking up this error.

Well done Microsoft, you really care about your customers.

I have 23 instances of this error. Ridiculous. I have disabled Microsoft Store as this computer is used for flight simulation. I have no need for the Store. Hopefully a fix is coming very soon.

Plus 15 Warnings that "A connection to the Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS) could not be established."

    Hi Terry,

I appreciate your attempt to help. On the face of it as with so much AI content it looks very professional and sensible.

In reality there is only on item in the list that is guaranteed to do something. The registry key edit if used to disable the service will suppress the error being logged in the Event Viewer. It wont stop the error occuring you just wont see it anymore. A very common Microsoft suggestion I might add, ostriches with their head in the sand comes to mind.

My overall opinion of the rest is that the chatbot works for Microsoft mate, smoke and mirrors. The only bit missing is suggesting you run naked around the fountain in Hyde Park at midnight under a full moon. That has the same chance of fixing it as the other suggestions. (I exaggerate, setting your system clock to a good NTP source has network implications but unless you are off by a lot more than a few seconds most webservers will cope) None of the suggestions will ever solve the source of the problem, i.e. make Microsoft fix the web portal that is dumping the HTTP call and generating the error.

QED AI is an erudite peddlar of snake oil. The copy and paste monster of the dark side with whom the "Farce" is strong. ;)
