I had a bunch of these show up and it has continuously messed with my headphone. At first I thought my headphone / jack was broken, but no matter what I tried the headphone just keeps getting dced/rced and coming in and out. Then it started crashing other apps/games I was on.

I'm trying to disable Device Installation Setting from the very early threads and see if that permanently fixes the issue.

My error btw:

The MS server (URL) uses the HTTP protocol which means it has to :

1. accept the parameters to decide on whatever is passed to it
2. return a code.

The reality is that there is nothing there to answer. Ie. no server is present.

But as I've stated before there is a case of someone else who has the same URL who doesn't have this problem.

As pointed out by Nick, this can be because that URL isn't contacted - however, I think this is unlikely as there is a task that is designed to regularly check for new drivers for devices apart from whatever else causes it to check.

Yep! this is clearly a MS problem which will never be fixed as Windows 10 is practically dead now - 1 year to go and MS don't care.

Hi, how did you restore MS Store? I too have had a slew of errors and warnings related to Device Setup Manager since the beginning of the month.

At the moment I have disabled the entry for Device Setup Manager in the Event Viewer.
