So I'm having this problem as well. Most recently: Device Manager reports errors for containers with the app IDs:

    '{00000000-0000-0000-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF}'

    '{5086BF8B-04F1-11EF-9D4F-806E6F6E6963}'

    '{056018F3-EA11-DE01-11C1-516050C076BC}'

    '{D397268A-724C-B4EF-D641-C9234BA2948B}'

    '{15c20b67-12e7-4bb6-92bb-7aff07997402}'

This was followed by Event 20 with:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xC1900101: Windows 11, version 23H2.

    And also Event 10016 with:

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

    Windows.SecurityCenter.WscBrokerManager

     and APPID

    Unavailable

to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

I've also had errors related to Hyper-V Hypervisor at other times, although I can't find the specific log at the moment. It was crashing due to a lack of sync between processing cores.

    This is also common:

Session "PerfDiag Logger" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188

The system now habitually BSODs on startup 3-5 times. It gives me the following codes:

    DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    REGISTRY_ERROR

    KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

    UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (ntoskml.exe)

    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

    This is on a Dell G15 5525.

I've fully reset the system 3 times now - once with files maintained, once from disk image, once from the cloud. The issues seem to reappear after allowing Windows to update. All diagnostics have failed to find anything - I've ran SFC and DSISM, ran on-board diagnostics for the RAM, ran ScanCircle, checked the disk, cleanly re-installed all drivers, etcetera. Anything I could find to do, I did, and I invariably found nothing. The only thing I found that was genuinely weird was that there's an unrecognized permission entry attached to SVCHost, but I don't know if that's intended. If anyone's seen similar issues I'd love to hear about it.

It didn't fix it for me. I'm getting dead screens every day, just rebooted from one 10 minutes ago and the error report came back:

Metadata staging failed, result=0x80070490 for container '{72E91889-CC4F-11EE-9776-704D7B8651C6}'

TY1 Disabling the device installation settings immediately improved my laptop's performance. It has been running very slow lately.

Hi Ray, I realized it later that it "might" be helpful in sending our problems to MS. So I replied based on whatever I remembered. Here, i am trying to re-create the selection. Step 3 shows types of issues, i think, based on selection in step 2. Here I found the "Metadata staging failed" issue as well.
