Printer keeps going "offline" Windows 11

My printer has worked fine until a month or two. Since then it keeps going offline. I have updated software drivers etc. I need to poke around with troubleshooters etc every time to get it to work. It's then fine for that session but the problem comes back every time i turn it off. Is there any solution to this?

After days of going round in circles with my HP Printer, this method seems to have done the trick. Anyone else who is stuck should try this.

I have same issue but am trying to print from iPhone . I ran a check on printer and it printed the results. Still will not print picture

Another day, another windows bug.
I have two fixes for this that work for me:
1. After clicking print, go to "devices and printers" and start the windows trouble shooter. It will run through, fail to identify the problem and maybe tell you the printer is offline - but suddenly the printer starts printing anyway as if the troubleshoot woke it up
2. There are Printer presets in the printer / scanner settings. One is called something like "Windows manages Default Printer". It was disabled. After enabling it, the printer worked. I dont know if that is a permanent solution, but it worked until now.
