My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

    I have found the only fix for the problem. Buy another quire of paper. :-(

    The ONLY thing that works for me is to turn off the printer after each print job if there is going to be more than 5 minutes before the next one. Then I don't get the error. Clearly the printer is not being released by the operating system.

    I give up. This is unconscionable. More than 6 months and nothing has been done to fix this?

    I have tried just about everything, including upgrading from Windows 10 to 11. This fixed the problem for several weeks, but now it's back. I suspect an update broke it again. In my case it happens regardless of wifi or USB, and I cannot connect my printer up to my desktop via USB because it's in another room.

    I have no idea why this is such a nagging problem across the board.

    Mine isn't that the wifi is too slow it is simply that my $1200 HP laser printer simply DOES NOT allow you to unplug the USB cable. It will not function on wifi. It is not an option. I don't understand why Microsoft doesn't take into consideration the fact that some people cannot unplug the USB cable? Whether it is of necessity on the printer's part (mine) or slow wi-fi/no wi-fi ! The simply fact that they expect us all to unplug a cable and that is their solution is ridiculous. I have been having this issue with only one of my 3 HP printers since I upgraded to Windows 11 over a year ago from Windows 10 and it is only on the laser printer that requires a USB cable. HP says it is Microsoft. Microsoft says it is HP. It is OBVIOUSLY Microsoft if it is across multiple brands like Epson, Canon, HP, etc. Microsoft get your act together. I can see missing a few bugs here and there before you release stuff because there are so many systems, but this would be an easy fix on your end.
