PC not detecting any new output device

My pc doesn't detect any new output device outside my monitor's audio. I constantly have in the device manager two high definition audio controllers, one is working fine, the other one can't start(i don't know if that's the issue). The headphones for sure aren't the issue since they're working everywhere else. I tried to fix by manually downloading realtek audio drivers of my mobo from the manufacturer and format the pc completely with a fresh windows install but nothing fixed. I didn't do any updates and I don't have any new update to do, so I really don't know what the issue could be.

Thank you for the clarification. Then it has nothing to do with GPU and monitor.

When you went to your mobo website to download the realtek driver, also download chipset driver and BIOS.. go ahead and install them and override what you have installed. See if that makes any difference.

Andrea, I am a bit confused. In your orginal post, you said "My pc doesn't detect any new output device outside my monitor's audio" - does that mean your have the output device connected on the monitor, or to the case directly? If it is on the monitor, it will be youur GPU. If it is on the case, it will be realtek. I want to make sure we are clear on which component we are troubleshooting first. Thanks!

the output device is connected to my case directly.

    Hello, this is Emily.

How do you connect your monitor to the computer? Is it an aux port on the monitor itself?

Since it is connected via the monitor, it is not the realtek driver you need, but the GPU driver. The sound on the monitor is fed by the GPU. In addition, some monitor could have local settings to disable/enable the sound. Make sure you look into that as well.

What graphics do you have? Do you have both integrated and dedicated ones?

no, i just connect my monitor through the hdmi cable that goes from my gpu hdmi port to the monitor. I have 2 aux ports, one on the back of the case and one on the front of the case near the other usb ports. My gpu is a gtx 1050ti which has right now the latest driver(2 days ago everything was working and I still had the same driver, so that wouldn't be the issue in my opinion). The monitor hasn't been touched so no setting has been changed, I'll look into it just to be sure but I hardly doubt that would be the issue. My cpu (i5 8400) has an igpu but it has never been used and my gpu as i said above is a gtx 1050ti with the latest drivers.
